Some of the Shandon Travel team recently went onboard Ambience for ship visit. Here's what Danielle had to say about their visit:

As some of you may have seen on our socials, myself and my colleagues Rose & Caroline were lucky enough to be able to step onboard the Ambassador Ambience. It's the first time I've been onboard an Ambassador ship, and in all honestly, I wasn't quite sure what to expect! The demographic onboard is definitely geared for the 65+ market.

With an average of 1,400 guests, Ambience offers both a feeling of spaciousness and freedom, whilst retaining that sense of intimacy. Ambience was previously part of the Princess Cruises fleet as the Regal Princess. Entertainment-wise, there are a lot of choices: the Observatory, The Palladium & THEATRE@ SEA.

Whether you like it shaken or stirred, there are numerous bars onboard, including Raffles Bar, Botanical Lounge, SW19 and The Purple Turtle Pub. Dining options are plentiful at the Buckingham restaurant or the Borough Market, with loads of different cuisine options.

There is also the Alfresco Grill. You then have speciality dining at Saffron, Sea & Grass or the deluxe Chef’s Table, where a speciality gastronomic experience is offered.

The staff onboard is what made the experience that much better! Nothing is too much for them. I thoroughly enjoyed my ship visit on board Ambience and would encourage anybody in that age bracket to consider Ambassador Ambience for their next cruise experience."
